NEW YORK — For the second-straight week, freshman Kelly O'Donnell (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) has been selected as the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office today.
The second-leading scorer for St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) averaged 15.3 points and 8.0 rebounds over a three-game stretch that the Bears went 1-2. She opened the week with a season-high 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals in a victory over Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday.
O'Donnell followed it up with her second collegiate double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and two thefts in a two-point loss to USMMA on Thursday. The freshman guard capped the week with her fifth-straight game scoring in double figures with 12 points and six caroms against Old Westbury on Saturday.
